The Parliamentary and Scientific Committee meeting on Tuesday 10th October will look and Brexit and the implications for Science and Innovation.
Six months on from the launch of P&SC Chairman Stephen Metcalfe MP’s report ‘Science Priorities for Brexit’ and following the recent publication of Government’s paper ‘Collaboration on science and innovation: a future partnership paper’, the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee in partnership with the Confederation of British Industry, Royal Society and Universities UK are holding a discussion meeting to examine how research and innovation issues are being considered in Brexit negotiations.
Stephen Metcalfe MP will be joined by Sir Venki Ramakrishnan, President of the Royal Society, Tom Thackray, Director of Innovation CBI, Dr Sarah Main from CASE and Professor Julia Buckingham from Universities UK. The meeting will be followed by a drinks and canape reception where informal discussions will continue.
The meeting will start at 5.30pm in the Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House and the reception will follow in Bellamy’s, 1 Parliament Street from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
